What was SheVegas like way back in the twenty first century?
Just look back at the original documents produced by the Village Green Preservation Society of SheVegas and you can see for yourself.
Original documents of every type that can be digitized will create a first draft of history that will give a fresh look at the world of today, for the world of tomorrow.
Audio, video, photographs, books, magazines, letters, e-mails, receipts, bills, legal documents, websites and blogs can be included. Anything that you can think of can be included. The key is that they must be original documents and must be offered in the public domain.
The heavy lifting will be provided by the great folks at the Internet Archive. Everything will be open sourced and stored at no cost to us, we just have to create and digitize.
SheVegas is a mythical Village radiating from the corner of Eigth Street and Indiana Avenues and stretching as far as a gallon of gas can get us in a car. Right now this takes us as far north as Green Bay, as far West as Green Lake, and as far south as Milwaukee. We can only go a few feet to the East before sinking, yet this gives us the greatest lake in the world – Lake Michigan, not too shabby!
We want School Yearbooks and newspapers, menus, stuff, things, and dreams. We’ll provide the venue, you provide the material.
We’ve been producing material for years and often hear complaints that it’s not fast enough, or simply not enough. This is your chance to stop sucking (consuming) and start producing. Let’s give the world something to talk about.
