The buzz has it the Pentair site is going native, casino and all.
Kaker tells me he downed a few with Robbie Kneivel last summer. Word is Robbie was hanging at the Green Room after checking out the Sheboygan River for a jump onto the Pentair site for a grand opening of a casino. People in low places confirm hanging with Robbie and are sharing stories of visits from tribal leaders who showed them pictures of tribal rituals and mentioned the name North Star, so we might be talking the Mohicans here.

Item 2, The Pentair building is set to come tumbling down. We have four different sources on this one, all with conflicting stories, all of them say Spielvogel Construction is involved. It seems the building has folding walls and some of them have really awesome electrical hookups and are likely to be moved instead of destroyed. One possible location for the move is out to the Sheboygan Industrial Park, several birdies told me a pending grocery distribution center may benefit from the walls.
Item 3, Mayor Ryan has been telling people about the project, and said people tell me the Mayor’s been up north to visit with the Indians, whatever that means.
Item 4, Sources say, the monster yacht that was in the Sheboygan Harbor last summer was somehow involved in the casino story.
Several sources agree that the boat should be chocalate colored, yet they agree it would get too hot if it was. I have no clue if this is relevant.
Item 5, The I-43 exit at Indiana Avenue is opening up, saw an e-mailed newsletter from City Hall months ago that told me so.
Makes sense, this exit should never have closed, it is the only straight shot to Lake Michigan, people tell me I’m wrong about the last part, yet fall short in fact based arguments. Driving through buildings does not count.
Item 6, There are very few open or for sale properties on Indiana Avenue, at the beginning of last summer much of Indiana Avenue was available, cheap.
Item 7, A single source tells me of a plan for a 3 story parking garage with illustrations they saw while in the City Attorney’s office. The North-side of Indiana Avenue was the location of said ramp. As I said, this is from a single source and is not verified in any manner.
Item 8, we registered sheboygancasino.com because we believe somethings brewing.
Disclaimer: I always say half the information I receive is wrong, the problem is figuring out which half. That percentage rises the more “credible” the source is by traditional J-School definition. For example, some guy in a bar > elected official, simple math. Everything’s a rumor until the deals nearly done, what’s new?
I’m just waiting to see how the Armory will fit into this, still offer to stand under any Rocket that is launched form that area into space carrying humans, yet I digress.
